What is Happening?
Trump demanded that MAGA states re-draw their congressional district maps to create more GOP seats in the US House. Texas, North Carolina, and Missouri legislators obeyed his command without voter approval. The residents had no say. Ohio did the same on their own. 9 likely-Republican seats have been gained for this year’s Mid-Term Elections. Why? So Trump and MAGA can maintain control of the US House of Representatives and stay in power, because they know that voters are angry and they can’t win without cheating.
Millions of dollars have gone into the "VOTE NO" campaign. They’ve sent offensive mailers to Black voters, and used the images of Governor Spanberger and President Obama on mailers in an attempt to confuse Democrats into voting No. Their Media Ads are pure lies meant to scare the public with the same old tired threats, hoping that voters will fall for it – again. “The Democrats just want to give “Illegals” welfare and raise our taxes, and take our guns!!” How many times have you heard these same threats?
Are we fighting back? Yes. We are trying to Save Our Country from an Autocrat. Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, but right now they’re under threat — and we can’t sit back and do nothing when we have the opportunity to help. Voting YES on this amendment is a necessary, temporary response to an unprecedented moment.

What Can be Done to Counter This?
Democratic-led states are re-drawing their own congressional maps to counter Republican gains. California was the first, passing an amendment to redraw the state's congressional map to benefit Democrats. Virginia is doing the same.
Virginia's current congressional map is among one of the most non-partisan.
So, are we now fighting fire with fire? We most certainly are, and until there is a federal mandate requiring ALL STATES to play fair, then we must do our part to

Virginia is Fighting Back by Proposing a Temporary Constitutional Amendment to Level the Playing Field. Virginia's Congressional Districts will be temporarily redrawn to create additional Democrat-led seats in Congress to thwart Trump's planned takeover. This amendment is a temporary measure to protect the voice of the entire country. This referendum ensures voters — not politicians — decide the outcome of the 2026 midterm elections! GO VOTE!
