Christina Rehfuss has announced her candidacy for Washington County Commissioner of Revenue.
Christina Clark Rehfuss started life here in Washington County with humble beginnings. Born a daughter of a tobacco sharecropper, she enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with her dad. In 1980 Christina graduated from John S. Battle High School. In addition to family obligations, she was a stellar student and the first person in her family to attend college, receiving multiple degrees.
She is deeply committed to making sure Washington County is a small business-forward county in order for companies to be attracted to our region and decrease the out-migration of our young people.
Christina, I am Linda Davidson, Secretary of the Washington County Democrat Committee. I think you may have an opportunity to raise your awareness through her High School Alumna, John Battle. The school is in desperate need of hygiene products, such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, washcloths, feminine products, and loofahs. Apparently, there are students from disfunction homes, that do not have access to these basic needs. Some are living out of cars. I would love to see the party get behind you and donate these items. I think that we could use this to give you more positive attention. I am so proud to have you as our candidate!
